Tungkol Sa Wala - Radioactive Sago Project |
] |
This morning was surreally gloomy. It's the kind of gloomy that makes you feel you woke up in a funk. And I guess I did. As I opened my eyes, I heard the clock ticking. Don't you just hate that? I dunno, I mean I hate hearing the sound of clocks ticking. It just makes me all... panicky. Like I'm stuck inside that clock and I can't get out. Haha I can just imagine how Captain Hook felt everytime he heard that.
Yesterday my beloved puppy Kimy died. He was a three-and-a-half-month-old black labrador puppy. I still am deeply deeply saddened. I hope he's happy now in Rainbow Bridge (the dog heaven). It's just sad, this afternoon, as I was about to leave the house, for no one was barking at me anymore. Wala nang nanglalambing.='( RIP dear one, you will be missed, and never forgotten.
It's weird what a dog's death - or death in general, actually - can do to you. It makes you realize a lot of things. It makes you think about - and rethink - a lot of things. It can make you anxious at the thought of whether you really are living your life to the fullest or not; it can make you want to do something about your life (i.e. make it better, or more exciting, or take it out of the mundane). Because trite as it sounds, it's a wake-up call of some sort which looks you straight in the eye and tells you, hey, all of this can be over anytime. Then all of a sudden it's like you want to just prepare for the inevitable. Or at least that's how it is for me.
( Pessimism? (strange coming from from an optimist, eh?) More like truthfulness. )

People always fire guns. And stray bullets, more often than not, hit people. I was once hit by a stray bullet, but chose to bleed quietly as if uninjured, and die smiling. Unconditional love as what they say. Yet when I pull the trigger of a gun with the knowledge that it has no bullets, they want to crucify me.

Just because the hands of a clock are working doesn't mean the clock's not broken.

They say shit happens. And they're goddam right it does. But isn't it annoying when bad things rain on you like there's no tomorrow?

"Gay" and "lesbian" are not pejorative words, but choices that people make. For them, it's about acceptance, respect, and the dignity with which others are treated. ***

| Your Dominant Intelligence is Interpersonal Intelligence |
You shine in your ability to realate to and understand others. Good at seeing others' points of view, you get how people think and feel. You have an uncanny ability to sense true feelings, intentions, and motivations. A natural born leader, you are great at teaching and mediating conflict. You would make a good counselor, salesperson, politician, or business person. |

Driver: Don't miss the boat... I feel like my transport should be an extension of my personality. Voila! And this? This is my little window to the world. And every minute, it's a different show. Now, I may not undestand it. I may not even necessarily agree with it. but I'll tell you what, I accept it and just sort of glide along. You want to keep things on an even keel I guess is what I'm saying. You want to go with the flow. The sea refuses no river. The idea is to remain in a state of constant departure while always whle always arriving. Saves on introductions and goodbyes. The ride doesn't require an explanation. Just occupants. That's where you guys come in. It's like you come out onto this planet with a crayon box. Now you may get the 8-pack, you may get the 16-pack. But it's all in what you do with the crayons, the colors that you're given. Don't worry about drawing within the lines or coloring outside the lines. I say color outside the lines. Color right off the page. Don't box me in. We're in motion to the ocean. We are not landlocked, I'll tell you that. So, where do you want out? Passenger 1: Um I don't know. Really, anywhere is fine. Driver: Well just give me an address or something, okay? Passenger 2: Tell you what, go up three more streets; take a right, go two more blocks, drop this guy off on the next corner. Passenger 1: Where's that? Driver: I don't know either, but it's somewhere, and it's gonna determine the course of the rest of your life. All ashore that's going ashore!
********
"I'm afraid we're losing the real virtues of living life passionately; the sense of taking responsibility for who you are, the ability to ask something of yourself and feeling good about life... It's like your life is yours to create."
"The more you talk about a person as a social construction... or as a confluence of forces... or as fragmented or marginalized, what you do is you open up a whole new world of excuses."
"It might be true that there are six billion people in the world and counting. Nevertheless, what you do makes a difference. It makes a difference first of all in material terms. Makes a difference to other people and it sets an example. In short, the message here, I think is, that we should never simply write ourselves off... and see ourselves as the victim... of various forces. It's always our decision who we are."

Don't you hate that? Hate what? Uncomfortable silences. Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullshit in order to be comfortable? I don't know. That's a good question. That's when you know you found somebody really special. When you can just shut the fuck up for a minute and comfortably share silence.
